பெரியாரும் பெரியவரும்!

ஒரு நாள், ஒரு பெரியவரைப் பற்றி ஒரு விஷயம் கேள்விப்பட்டேன். மறுநாள், வேறு ஒருவர் ஒரு பிரபலம் பற்றிய வேறொரு விஷயம் கேள்விப்பட்டேன். ஆச்சரியமாக, அந்த இரண்டு விஷயங்களுக்கும் ஒரு முக்கிய ஒற்றுமை இருந்ததைக் கண்டேன். அந்த இரண்டு விஷயங்களைச் சொல்கிறேன். நீங்களே இரண்டுக்கும் உள்ள ஒற்றுமை என்னவென்று கண்டுபிடித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

காஞ்சிப் பெரியவரின் கூடவே இருந்து, அவருக்கு 40 ஆண்டுக் காலம் சேவை செய்யும் பாக்கியம் பெற்றவர் லக்ஷ்மிநாராயணன் என்னும் 76 வயதுப் பெரியவர். மாங்காட்டில் இருக்கிறார். சக்தி விகடனில் காஞ்சிப் பெரியவர் பற்றிய அனுபவங்களை எழுதச் சொல்லலாம் என்று, எழுத்தாளர் சாருகேசியுடன் சென்று, அவரைச் சந்தித்துப் பேசினேன். காஞ்சிப் பெரியவர் பற்றி அவர் சொன்ன ஒரு விஷயம் எனக்கு புதுசாக இருந்தது.

காஞ்சிப் பெரியவர் தமது பரிவாரங்களுடன் நடந்து வருகிறார். லஸ் அருகில், அவரையும் அவரது அடியவர் கூட்டத்தையும் தாக்குவதற்காக திராவிடர் கழகத்தினர் கழி, கட்டைகளோடு நின்றுகொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள். காஞ்சிப் பெரியவருக்கு ஏதேனும் சங்கடம் நேர்ந்துவிட்டால், தங்களால் அதைத் தாங்கிக் கொள்ள முடியாதே என்கிற பதைப்போடு டி.டி.கே., சதாசிவம் போன்றோர் கையைப் பிசைந்துகொண்டு நிற்கிறார்கள். பெரியவரை மேலே முன்னேறி வர வேண்டாம் என்று அவர்கள் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறார்கள். அவரது பாதுகாப்புக்கு போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள் இருக்கிறார்கள். இருந்தாலும், அவர்களும் தங்களை மீறி பெரியவருக்கு ஏதேனும் ஆபத்து நேர்ந்துவிடுமோ என்கிற பயத்தில், அவரை மேலே செல்ல வேண்டாம் என்று தயவுடன் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

பெரியவர் புன்னகைக்கிறார். "ஏன் வீணா பயப்படறேள்? அவா என்னை ஒண்ணும் பண்ண மாட்டா!' என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு, அருகே இருந்த அம்பாள் கோவில் எதிரே நின்று சிறிது நேரம் கண்களை மூடிப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்துகொண்டுவிட்டு, மேலே நடக்கத் தொடங்குகிறார். கூடவே நடந்து செல்லும் அனைவரின் மனதிலும் திக்... திக்..! என்ன ஆகப் போகிறதோ என்று படபடப்பு!

அந்த நேரத்தில், ஈ.வே.ரா. பெரியார் அங்கே வருகிறார். திராவிடர் கழகத் தொண்டர்களைப் பார்த்து உரத்த குரலில், "எல்லாரும் கட்டைகளைக் கீழே போட்டுட்டு, ஒதுங்கி நில்லுங்க. பெரியவரை வழி மறிக்கிறது, தாக்குறது எல்லாம் கூடாது, சொல்லிட்டேன்! அவர் எங்கே போகணுமோ, அங்கே அவரை ஒரு ஆபத்தும் இல்லாம கொண்டு போய்ச் சேர்க்க வேண்டியது உங்க பொறுப்பு!' என்று கட்டளை இடுகிறார். அந்தக் கணீர்க் குரல் பெரியவருக்கும் அவரைச் சுற்றி நிற்கும் அனைவருக்கும் கேட்கிறது. "நான்தான் சொன்னேனே, பார்த்தீர்களா!' என்பதுபோல் பெரியவர் தம் அருகில் இருப்பவர்களைப் பார்த்துப் புன்னகை பூத்தபடி, தொடர்ந்து நடக்கிறார்.

பெரியாரின் கட்டளையைச் சிரமேற்கொண்டு, பெரியவரைப் பாதுகாப்பாக அழைத்துக் கொண்டுபோய் விடுகிறார்கள் திராவிடர் கழகத் தொண்டர்கள். இந்தச் சம்பவம் நடக்கும்போது கூடவே இருந்தவர் லக்ஷ்மிநாராயணன். இதை அவர் விவரித்தபோது, அன்றைக்கிருந்த படபடப்பு அவரது வர்ணனையில் இருந்தது.

இந்தச் சம்பவத்துக்குச் சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னால் வரை, காஞ்சிப் பெரியவர் ‘மேனா' என்று சொல்லக்கூடிய சிவிகையில்தான் சென்றுகொண்டு இருந்தார். சிவிகை என்பது பல்லக்கு. பழைய காலத் திரைப் படங்களில் இளவரசியை ஒரு பல்லக்கில் வைத்து, முன்னால் நான்கு பேர், பின்னால் நான்கு பேர் தூக்கிச் செல்வதைப் பார்த்திருக்கலாம். பெரியவரையும் அதுபோல்தான் அடியவர்கள் தூக்கிச் செல்வார்கள்.

ஒருமுறை, பெரியவர் அதுபோல் மேனாவில் சென்றுகொண்டு இருந்தபோது, வழியில் மேடை போட்டுப் பெரியார் பேசிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார். "மற்றவர்கள் சிரமப்பட்டுத் தூக்கிச் செல்ல, சொகுசாக உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டு போகிறாரே, இவரெல்லாம் ஒரு துறவியா? மனிதனை மனிதன் சுமப்பது எத்தனைக் கேவலமானது! துறவி என்றால் எல்லாச் சுகங்களையும் துறக்க வேண்டும். இப்படி அடுத்தவர் தோளில் உட்கார்ந்து போகும் இவரைத் துறவி என்று எப்படி ஒப்புக்கொள்ள முடியும்?' என்று பெரியார் முழங்கிக்கொண்டு இருப்பது பெரியவரின் காதுகளில் விழுந்தது.

அவ்வளவுதான்... மேனாவை அங்கேயே தரையிறக்கச் சொல்லி இறங்கிவிட்டார் பெரியவர். "அவர் ஏதோ சொல்றார்; சொல்லிட்டுப் போறார். அதைப் பெரிசா எடுத்துக்காதீங்கோ! உங்களைச் சுமந்துண்டு போறதை நாங்க பாக்கியமா கருதறோம்!'என்று மடத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் பெரியவரிடம் கெஞ்சியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

"இல்லை. அவர் சொல்றதுதான் சரி! சுகத்தைத் துறக்காதவன் துறவியே இல்லை. இனிமே எனக்கு இந்த மேனா வேண்டாம். இனி நான் எங்கே போகணும்னாலும் நடந்துதான் போகப் போறேன்' என்று தீர்மானமான முடிவெடுத்துவிட்டார் காஞ்சிப் பெரியவர்.

கடைசி வரையிலும், அவர் அந்த முடிவிலிருந்து மாறவில்லை. அவர் கால்கள் தெம்பு இருக்கும்வரை நடந்துகொண்டே இருந்தன.

               INDIAN SCRIPTURES AND THE WEALTH OF THE NATION    

     1  So many writings on our sanathana dharma scriptures from west. We have a population of 120 crore but no takers to write about our treasures stored in sanskrit because of political heatred towards a community. Neither the community feels significant about learning well and raising the levels to the world. There are schools for 18 years to cram without knowing the meaning. Those few who knew well are dis interested in exposing the real meaning of our vedic scriptures to the world, in whatever language they knew. In between there are exploiters who pretend to know english and sanskrit in India, who writes a trivial, insignificant, meaning less translations ,adding insult to injury. For example one joshi writes or translates sanskrit word "dharma" as "religion". Great VIP people edit west writings and publish as their own.

             2     No doubt there are a countable few in west who had written wonderful treatise and traslated our scriptures, eulogising our treasure and itrs significance, but they could not reach out because of their limitations. Again unforunately our treasures and writing on scriptures by so many are not found in our local or district ,why even state libraries but can be seen in USA libraries. We are not ashamed of our insignificant contributions. We are good at preaching for money whether preacher, lecturer or sanyasi and denigrate our scriptures, in the eyes of Indian as well as abroad citizens. We make lot of money exploiting the vedic treatise. We earn a lot using these materials without paying any Royalties. We have high sound intelligentias, but dont have inertia to differentiate the real and insertions in our scriptures. We earn lot of money out of it but never spread the scientific versions contain in ther e witht he necessary research.

          3     There are interpretations and writings by us as well as abroad writers explaining our scriptures as mere poetic verses, fanciful imagineries, sex organ explainations, texts of non-sense, barnaric cult, tribal anecdotes so many and so much. Ms Wendy writes blatently about LINGAM as sex exploits in Mallagudi artifices, and no Indian writers went even to explain what atleast THE SAIVA SCRIPTURES had rendered the meanings to the world, leave alone the research and presentations. Every one has only a span of 3 or 4 decades. However, west travel all the way in 1800 and stay and dug out to write better than our KASI PUNDITS who remain a money snatchers from pilgrims.

         4      We express our inabilities owing to lack of fund but the west travelled on their own. A handful og priest and sanyasis have done yeoman service to our 4 vedas, 18 upanishads(minimum, there are 108) and 18 major puranas(though there are many repetitive and inserted verses of low mean ones too).Bhavishya purana with sanskrit and english you will never get now ,unless your parents and grand parents have a copy. There is one GEETHA PRINTERS and a couple in north and virtually zero in south. Ramakrishna mutt does a job but they have certain restrictions. "Anna", "Dayananda sarswathy" and a few more have rendered a fine job but the current holders are making money out of it or pay less attention in the developements and dont care to answer , those interested when they ask a few questions and doubts.ITS BETTER LET GOVT DONT COME IN LEST IT SHALL BECOME POLITICS.Bharatiya vidya bhavan is functioning in a limited way.

           5         But for the work of SRI GANAPATHY thro DEIVATHIN KURAL even little work done by MAHA PERIAVA WOULD HAVE GONE UNNOTICED. There shall be wide ,detailed publications in all or any languages including ENGLISH ,narrating the real dates , geographical locations, scientific meanings, virtual interpretations witht he roots and causes including sanskrit texts and analysis . This can be done basically by sanyasis, learned peertathipathis and yogis who knew them virtually ,instead of maintaining asrams and runing from pillar to posts ,if the futuristic society and INDIA shall feel proud. The common books like vedic dharma ,concepts of cult , significance of this and that will not hold water , even though it cant be gainsaid that they are not useful nor no utility; they are needed for the STEPPER-IN, but will not throw of the illeterate books in lakhs prowling aroud the world, poo-pooing the Indian vedic scriptures.

            6          The 1600-1800 versions of BIG BANG AND DARWIN have all been said inthe theory of creations; descriptions of YOJANAS shall be analysed; 9NOT ADOTING MERE 12 KMS); GEOGRAPHICAL POSITIONS OF THE UNIVERSE AS SAID THEN LIKE meru SHALL BE FIXED; Many mames pronounced are allegory or indicators, which shall be elaborated fitting in every square; in this process the later, evengelical ardent missineries insertions shall be deciphered; (I mean evengelical including Buddist, Jains, Vaishnavaites etc also).

             7               Though more road have to be traversed yet with my little brain, I felt that(1) adi sankara periods must be established beond doubts wrt mourya dynasty; his SOUNDARYA LAHARI ,I believethe first part is genuine and latter part is kalidoss style insertions; his advaithic philosophy is master piece treatise squaring every arguements and it shall be made world significance; I think THREE vedas, 18 UPANISHADS AND 18 MAJOR PURANAS shall be analysed thread bear to dust the un wanted insertions and real meanings of vignana shall be brought out, (not imagining todays India) but the the NINE VARSHAS AND 7 CONTINENTS AS WOULD HAVE EXISTED; I opine that the theory of migration from AFRICA and CONCEPT OF idndo-european languages, MIGHT BE TOTALLY WRONG AND IT COULD BE VICE-VERSA]

             8         By looking thro SOTH HISTORY, the entire world surrounded by 7 seas, could have remained as one piece and puranas are describing the GEOGRAPHY on that basis; west follow a concept that presumptions are made out of what is known and all others remain unknown means, false, insignificant; this may not be true, since science is no different from our scriptures and because we cant think or know or explain , may not mean descriptions are non-sense or irrelevant. WHY NOT BY FORCE WORLD EXISTED CLOSE FLOATED AWAY FROM HERE TO VARIOUS POSITIONS OF TODAY ALONG WITH THE PEOPLE, WHOSE ROOTS ARE FROM HERE? THERE ARE THINKINGS THAT HIMALAYA CAME TO BE THERE ONLY AFTER A COLLISION. THERE IS A THINKING THAT SRILANKA WAS CLOSE TO ORISSA AND THE PRESENT LANGUAGE SINGALESE RESEMBLE ORIISA AND BENGALI LIKE. KANCHI MUTT HAD PUBLISHED EVIDENCES TO SHOW THAT SANKARA WAS IN KANCHI, INCLUDING THE TIRUVANAIKKAVIL PENDANT RIGHT BEFORE THE BRITISH COURT, WHER SRINGERI FAILED; NO DEMEANING ANY ONE BUT TRUTH COULD BE DIFFERENT; I AM NOT READY TO SAY MAHA PERIAVA WOULD HAVE BEEN A LIAR,NO, NEVER.

            9        It is our history and we have to break our neck. The world shall know that its not a non-sense. Its not mere 5000 0r 10000 years crap; Ramayana id far away land and periods; why Americans have taken a film to show that JESUS AND HIS MOTHER WERE HERE IN LADAK AND KASHMIR, WHERE EVIDENCES ARE AVAILABLE. Its not let the silent dog lie and barking one survive , no, its more than that meets our eye. Its in the hands of the true sanyasis and yogis of our country, more than touring the earth for money, which is against the canons of dharma of our land. When WE -ELDERS-BEHAVE. we have the right to make-fallow THE WE-JUNIORS; and the youth of the country far exceeding the quantum of the world, shall do real things , when the same quantum shall become the world record in the future too. sarve jana sukino bhavanthu.

SENSELESS ACTIONS OF YOUTH

       RECENTLY I READ IN A MAGAZINE AN ARTICLE WRITTEN BY MS. GIRIJA ABOUT THE ELDERS BEHVIOUR RECENTED BY THE CURRENT GENERATIONS. A FATHER AGED WAS TALKING ABOT TTHEIR GENERATIONS OF YOUTHHE  DISCIPLINE IN CLOSE CIRCLE WITHT HE GUEST AND IT WAS RESENTED AS A NON-ETIQUETTE BEHAVIOUR. YES, SPEAKING ABOUT THE DHARMA, DISCIPLINE, SHUNING DREADFUL HABITS, MAINTAINING A HAPPY FAMILY, BEHAVIOUR OF COUPLES IN STRENTHENING THE RELATIONSHIPS ETC ARE NON-ETIQUETTES INDEED, IN THE MINDS OF YOUTHS AND INCULCATED BY THEIR PARENTS WELL IN THEM. DO THEY EVER THINK THAT WHEN THEY GROW OLD ,THEY WILL TRANSFER THEIR RICH EXPERIENCES TO  THE YOUTH OF THEIR TIMES? BECAUSE THEIR FAILURES AND ODD BEHAVIOURS IN THEIR TIMES THEN HAD BROUGHT THEM NO LAURELS BUT SUFFERINGS AND THAT THEY MAY NOT LIKE THEIR 40-50 YEARS, YOUNGER TO REPEAT. AFTER ALL, IF EVERY ONE WERE TO GAIN KOWLEDGE THRO THEIR SELF-EXPERIENCES ONLY, THEY CAN LIVE ONLY THAT LIFE FOR THAT AND SHALL REP THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ODD BEHAVIOURS. A TREE WELL GROWN ONLY YIELD THE SWEET FRUITS. THERE MAY BE MINOR LAPSES, BUT WILL ANY ONE EAT THE MANGAI TO MANGO? TIRUVALLUAR SAID THIS.
        THE CURRENT GENERATIONS DECAY IS FOUND IN THE INCIDENT OF THE DEATH OF THE SENIOR LONDON NURSE, ATTENDING THE ROYAL WILLIAMAND HIS WIFE; THE SENSELESS PRANKS OF DJs, IMITATING THE VOICE OF THE PRINCE, INTERNED THE FEAR IN HER AND SHE TOOK HER LIFE; MEDIA, COSMETICS, FABRICS, MEDICINAL GIMMIKS ,FASHION OF EXPOSURE ARE ALL TERGETTING THESE UNTHINKABLE ACTS OF THE YOUTH OF THE WORLD AND MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS ARE IN INDIA.
         WHEN WILL THEY CHANGE? MS GIRIJA COULD HAVE WRITTEN IT DIFFERENTLY BUT SHE IS ALSO IN MEDIA-DEPENDENCE.

                        I have a fortune to view the NAHUSHA (a snake in puranas)  falling down head-long  between 1940s to 2012.In other words, how erranuously this Indian society ,where the root of dharma is emmbedded, under went a drastic degradation, in the style of life, taking the adoption of wrong things from the west and at the same time ,ignoring the progressive things from the same place. The responsibility squarely is placed only ,on the wrong money, giving vent to wrong assumed status, developoing their children towards mistic and mystry sectors.
                        There was single earnings, single woman, contented life, conspicuous life style, good technology of progress, responsible elders in all fields, caring for the society and the people, with unsolicited and no-nonsense-publicity contributions. Persons were appreciated for their worth and not for things they do not possess or as super human beings. Eulogism was extinct and pure great souls were considered as ROLL-MODELS. Then and in every era since the world is in existence, there were all factors, which you see today, however that discretion prevailed even among the uneducated in villages, since for ANALYSIS OF MIND EDUCATION IS NOT A TOOL AT ALL. EDUCATION is taking place in this vast university and people are learning for doctorates, unlike todays EDUCATION OF EGO, presuming conclusions of errors.
                        Pain and pleasures were endured; pestilences and perrenial attacks too existed; human needs were there and there were people doing all kinds of round-abouts; good and bad co existed, but never the BAD was creative enough; discipline, conduct, character, cunningness, culpable homiside, treachery, torments, dharma, help, human elements etc  etc did exist ,yet, majority stood by GOOD. THERE WAS CONSCIOUS, INSPITE OF THE GREEDS; THERE WAS REMORSE, IN THE MIDST OF RUMBLINGS AND RANCOURS; The exposure by any agency was well within the lights and frames and there was no over exposures as of today. The world was growing. THEN SUDDENLY INDIA STARTED SLIPPING FROM THAT ATTITUDINAL GROWTH TO DEGRADATION, BECAUSE THERE WERE BAD EXPOSURES, ADVERTISEMENTS, MARKETING, MEDIA TWISTS AND TURNS AND MOVIE MAKERS AND MOVIE IDOLS, WHO IMPLANTED THE WRONG LESSONS TO THE RIGHT PERSONS, AND FROM THAT DAY INDIA IS REELING UNDER ONLY PAINS QUOTES AS OPIUM-STAINED-PLEASURES.

                    IT HAS BECOME A STATUS THAT ONCE ACCEPTED IN THE SOCIETY ALL CAN WRITE OR SAY SOMETHING ABOUT SOMETHING, IN DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE TO REVEAL THE COMAFLAGED AUTHORITY ON SUBJECT, UNMIND FUL ,OF THE REAL-SENSE IN THE SUBJECT. IN THIS COUNTRY NO ONE WILL QUESTION, RATHER TO SEE THEIR NAMES IN MEDIA WILL DESCRIBE DOWNTRODDING THEMSELVES AND EULOGISING SUCH WRITINGS OR SAY. NO ONE WILL VERIFY. NO ONE WILL GO TO CHECK IT UP. IF IT IS SAID BY 1000 YEARS AND EARLIER PEOPLE, IN UNISON, PEOPLE WILL RAISE THE VOICE IN WRITING AND VOCIFEROUSLY, BRANDING THOSE WORDS AS “QORDS OF ILLETERACY”. “HERDS INSTINCT ON BOTH TERMS AND ISSUES. IF IT IS BY KAMBAN, OR VALLUAR OR VYASAR OR ANY OTHER PERSON, IT IS NON-SENSICAL. HOWEVER IF IT IS BY SUJATHA, WELL ITS GODS SPELL. IF TTUNED AND DLIVERED BY MUTHUSAMI DIKSHIDAR OR KABERDAS, IT IS BOREDOM. HOWEVER, IF SAME THING IS PACKED IN A NEW BOTTLE WITH LITTLE EXERTION, WELL HE IS GENIUS AND BORN KING OR GOD HEAD. THESE QUALITIES WERE NICELY PRINTED AS PARKINSONS” LAW. WATER CAN FILL ONLY TO THE LEVEL OF THE VESSEL. SO TOO WHAT WAS WRITTEN AND READ BY ME AN ARTICLE OF SUKI SIVAM ABOUT THE BEHAVIOURS OF THE OLDER AND THE YOUNGER, QUOTING DHARMA. IT DID APPEAR TO ME AS HALF BAKED SATAN RECITING THE BIBLE. 

                      In an earlier write up he spoke about, the respect payable to wife than his parents elsewhere. Now in a magazine, that too in a DEEPAVALI MALAR 2012, he wrote an article saying that old Vedic scriptures had spoken about as dharma, ASHRAMA living concept;  the elders after performing the duty of marriage to children shall go to forest as couple or alone called then as VANAPRASTHAM; NOW SINCE FOREST IS EXTINCT OR FAR AWAY, OLD AGE HOME IS VANAPRASTHA; this arrangement is in order which would leave young ones peaceful life and balance of life in home would also be achieved . WHAT AN HALF BAKED SOLUTIONS RENDERED REVEALING HIS KNOWLEDGE ON SCRIPTURES AND HIS ADMINISTRATIVE COUNSEL!

                    Thank god, SUKI SUBRAMANYAM HAD GONE AWAY ONLY BECAUSE OF IN ANTICIPATION OF SUCH MAN-SLAUGHTER. He lectures after reading something, as so many others do today and its OK, since so many eke out their living on scriptures, mantras and Vedas, in short SRUTHIS AND SMRITHIS. But misquoting the scriptures is too harsh and reveals the AVIVEKAM. VARNASRAMA AND ASRAMA DHARMA, FOUR AND FOUR WERE PRESCRIBED FOR PROFESSION AND THE WAY OF LIFE FOR GRUHASTHAS AND YOGINSAND VANA PRASTHAM IS ONE SUCH RETIREMENT OR SCLUSIONS TO CONCENTRATE ON MOKSHAM.  Both are certain STATUS, on conduct of the prescribed rules, modifiable or named after the path progressed. IT WAS NEVER SAID THAT “THAT IS THAT’ HAD TO BE. IF YOU DON’T RECITE THE SRUTHIS AND DO YAGNA YOUR OFFICE IS NOT THAT OF BRAHMIN; IF YOU REMAIN A GENERAL OR A SOLDIER FOR THE NATION, YOUR PROFESSION IS SHATRIYAN;IF YOU TRADE YOU ARE A VYSIAN; AND IF YOU TAKE TO AGRICULTURE AND PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR THE SOCIETY TO LIVE HAPPILY, YOU ARE A SHUDRAN.  WHO MADE IT AS CASTE IS BEYOND ACTUAL CONFIRMATION; BUT THE BRITISH DID IT FOR RECRUITMENT TO SERVICE AND BRANDED INDIANS AS HINDUS AND BRANDED THE PROFESSION AS CASTE, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

                       Even now our villagers call the farms and surrounding thopes (trees and plants0 as KADU, meaning FOREST. For us FOREST IS NOT FAR AWAY FROM OUR RESIDENCE. WE LIVED ORIGINALLY WITH THE “KADU AND KAZHANI” ONLY. “KADU ALSO HAS ANOTHER MEANING VIZ “BURIAL GROUND which was not far away from residence. The chieftain, the King, the head of the family in the Hindu Undivided family, so many Male and female died only from the residence and villages or kadu and went to kadu. VANAPRASTHAM do mean ‘praseetha mumukshu”  viz before the moksham. There were

1      one life of Brahmachari, defined that can be till end of life

2      one life of gruhastham  viz married  till the end

3      one life of  vana prastham with or without wife with restricted life, not tantamounting  to sanyasam, but because it’s a renounced life, a step ahead of sanyasam

4      one life of sanyasam-an absolute renunciation ,can take root from Brahmachari, Gruhasthan and vana prasthan

5      a sanyasi is supposed stay as such till leaves the body but retractions is despicable but never a taboo

So too a vanaprasthan can die from home and still be an active body worker, or can remain a witness without old actions, renouncing the world affair. Can be a true Grahasthan too; THIRU NEELAKANDA NAINAR WAS A GRUHASTHAN AS WELL AS A VANA PRASTHAN AS WELL AS A SANYASI AND BY BLESSINGS OF SIVE CAME BACK TO GRUHASTHASRAMAM.

                         On the contrary the scriptures of the land had maintained that the Dharma of a son and daughter in law is to protect the parents of son even if in doldrums. The contrary will see to drastic consequences for failure to do so. The neethi sastra tell a lot on so many and had never said that “SEND ELDERS TO FOREST”. I CAN QUOTE SO MANY VERSES BUT I WOULD LIKE TO END HERE AND AM SATISFIED TO TELL EVERYONE, PLDONT FOLLOW ANYTHING THAT SUITS YOU BECAUSE SOME LITTLE JEADS SAID SO. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
